I'm so excited about this event! This is the 3rd Annual San Diego International Beer Festival (formerly known as the Craft Brewers Festival). Beer lovers can sample from more than 300 entries and we will receive UNLIMITED 1 oz samplings!!!

The fest goes from 12noon-7pm and will be held in the Chevrolet Del Mar Arena.

Once again, the festival lives up to its name, with beers from 17 countries and 20 states. Countries are: Denmark, USA, Japan, Scotland, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands, Brazil, Australia, Canada, Germany, England, Norway, France, Sweden, Finland and the Philippines and several USA states.

Advance ticket price is $37 but besides the UNLIMITED samples, it includes fair admission and a souvenir tasting cup.

If you buy your ticket the day of, ticket prices are $43. If you purchase your ticket thru Ticketmaster, you will pay Ticketmaster fees.

IMPORTANT INFO:

I will be there at 11am and only wait outside for 15 mins, unless you call me. After that, I will leave tix at Will Call. The fest starts at noon and my guess is the line to get in will be long, like they usually are at beer fests. I would like to grab a bite before going into the fest to prepare myself for drinking!

I will be near the main entrance, somewhere near the Will Call booth, between 11am-11:15am. I will be holding a Blue umbrella, wearing a pink Journey t-shirt and wearing gold beads.

For those who don't arrive during that time, I will leave your tix at Will Call and you will need ID that matches the name I'll leave, which will be the name that came in via pay pal unless you notified me otherwise. I hope you come and find me and the group. I think the blue umbrella should make us standout.

Wear sunblock, bring hat or some kind of sun protection.

    What an incredible success the Chefs de Cuisine had at the Beer festival. We filled every seat and had quite a crowd gathered around our area. I have pictures of the Chefs seminars and would like to post them on this site.

    Updated info: This is going to be a great experience for us beer enthusiasts. Our member David Chenelle will be doing cooking with beer presentations every hour and he'll be the MC for the other Chefs. Chad Stevens, the organizer of the event, said there will be a food/beer pairing bistro with very reasonable prices and really great beers! I'm happy to know it included a vegetarian option : ) Also, we can come and go from the fest to the fair and there will be plenty of food options!

    If you have a season pass or fair admission ticket, it's $30. This is going to be so much fun! Did you all read the part about UNLIMITED beer tastings? And these are going to be awesome beers from around the world!

    What if I have a season past to the Fair? Do I still need to by the full price ticket that includes fair admission if I don't need it? Can't wait!
