Hi San Diego Alternative Energy Group,
It is a pleasure to meet you; my name is Anne Bessinger. I have played an active role in the San Diego sustainability scene since 2007. I wanted to introduce you to a program I am currently involved with, the San Diego Solar Program. The program was created in order to help our region reach its renewable energy goals. San Diego's Solar Program has a goal of committing to install three megawatts of residential solar by December 31st, 2012. To encourage wide solar adoption, this program rewards homeowners for their commitment to a clean energy future.
Modeled similarly to the California Solar Initiative state rebate, the San Diego Solar Program offers three phases of funding; hose who signed up first received the highest incentive level. To date, 240 San Diego County residents have come together to achieve this common goal and solidify San Diego as our nation's solar capital. Currently in its third and final phase of funding, are able to receive a cash payment for $.20 per watt up to $1,000 to go solar. As the cost of electricity continues to rise and the state rebate almost at completion, there is no better time to go solar. This incentive comes in addition to the state rebate ($.20 per watt, the federal tax credit (30 percent of the out-of-pocket cost) , and the savings you will see on your monthly electric bill. There are different financing options available, one of which allows homeowners to go solar for $0 upfront cost and receive a cash payment with the San Diego Solar Program.
If you have an interest in going solar, be sure to take advantage of this opportunity. You can find more information on this exclusive offer by visiting www.SanDiegoSolarProgram.org
