Head to Baja with over 7,000 of your closest friends for this award-winning 50 mile fun bicycle ride along the Pacific Coast and inland through rural countryside from Rosarito Beach to Ensenada.

If you are interested check the link below and get back to me as soon as possible so we can start to plan this out and meet up soon to work over the details.

(Event Page): http://www.rosaritoen... (Registration is $35.00 - $40.00)

(Transportation Page): http://www.outback-ad... ($80.00 per person). (Plus unlimited ice cold Corona's along with Baja Marling Tacos provided by Outback Adventure while in Ensenada)

Start time is at 10:00am & casual cyclists average about 4 hours to finish (12.5 miles per hour). You must complete the 50 mile course by 4:30pm and reach each Aid Station before its scheduled closing time:

Aid Station 1 at 16 Miles closes at 1 pm
Aid Station 2 at 27 Miles closes at 2:30 pm
Aid Station 3 at 42 Miles closes at 3:30 pm
50 Mile Mark Aid Station closes at 4:30 pm

(Race is 6hrs 30min so you could go at a pace of about 8+ miles per hour and still make it to the finish line before they shut it down, but I would hope to get there earlier for beer and tacos)

Thanks for taking the time to check this out and hope that my first meet-up is a success....

I've done this ride 5 times, but can't do the next one. You will have a hard time getting into the lobby of the Rosarito Beach Hotel. Recccomend you meet at it's entrance archway out front, but even then it will be MOBBED. Have fun!

Does anyone have any idea how to link up with people that are not using the Outback bus? Is there an obvious meeting point? Bus drop off maybe?

I signed up for the 4:30 bus but will try to change it to 6pm. I have heard that the last bus sometimes gets invaded by riders that missed their earlier busses....due to..hmm can't think of any reason.... :)

Daniel: You might want to get a contact phone number out to the other riders so they can contact you in case of problem or if running late, especially since your email here is not available. ~ Remember: cellphone coverage might not work in Baja. ~

Daniel, should we just go ahead and book the trip or do you want to sign up as a group? What time do you recommend for the return trip from Ensenada?

@Doug: of course it's doable on a mtn bike. Just not as fast as a road bike. I'd recommend you put some road-friendly tires (slicks) on your mtn bike though - makes the ride much easiers & faster.
