For all the people I piss off tonight, I am sorry in advance for us lunatics using the road...but all we ask is three hours of every month.. Is that too much??? If so, kiss my gritz :)

The taunting and jeering riders instigating conflict towards an unsuspecting public is truly an experience not to be missed. You can sit on my mom's porch and watch the lemmings on display. Mass group pack mentality that is truly a disappointment to witness.
Crack a beer because they tie up the street (Park Blvd) for more than 10 minutes.
    Real cool bro's.

Makes me embarrassed to admit I'm a rider.....

There are all kinds of bikes, but a road bike does come in handy... I've completed previous rides with my mtb...

Looking forward to friday night....there a dedicated route or just follow the masses and kick back and watch the chaos?

I am hoping our group can lead because we had no leader last month and everyone was lost.

If I do this ride will I be hated. Do I need an open mind or should I see it through Joel's eyes?

It's as fun as you make it.

You'll only be hated by those who need to get to work, are following a schedule, or those that happened to get caught up in the snare of the event. You will see that bad etiquette earns praise and admiration from your fellow riders.... generally. There are some that remember why crit mass originated and ride for that reason, but sadly they are the minority. But you should go, or at least stand at a major intersection on the route then decide for yourself if they reflect your values. I've seen it a dozen times...

It doesn't serve the interests of the biking community. It only gives credence to those who believe that biker's disrespect others on the road. Its clearly a mob mentality, and no good can come of it. Go to organized events, ride responsibly, and give charitably to the biking charity of your choice by supporting your events with
    your entry fees.

That's an interesting viewpoint coming from a pirate? :-)

As an avid cyclist, I am appalled that people blatantly impede traffic for a "leisure ride" (I say that because these riders deliberately ride as slowly as possible). I am all for advocating awareness that cyclists have rights too but how does angering motorists, pedestrians, and yes, even other cyclists obeying the traffic laws help our cause???
