Our mission is to provide a friendly, fun atmosphere for learning and creativity. We put down our cameras to lift you up. Whatever your skill level, we focus first on developing an understanding of your gear and best field practices which allows you to move beyond the tech side of photography and begin to develop your personal style. We will encourage you to take your camera off of Program Mode but won’t leave you hanging when you do.

 

During our workshops we are at your disposal. When we’re not actively instructing or helping with setup, we are on hand for any questions or concerns you may have.

Your Instructors:

Nick Chill

Nick Chill is a fine art nature photographer with experience in landscape and wildlife photography work and print sales, as well as portraits, action sports, and wedding.

Byron O'Neal

Byron O'Neal is a commercial fine art photographer with years of experience in fine art landscapes and commercial hospitality work, as well as stock photography sales.

 

What You Can Learn:

Our workshops cover a variety of photography topics, allowing you to learn something different with every outing. Some of the topics include:

  • Manual camera controls | Aperture, Shutter, ISO
  • Capturing long-exposures
  • Creative composition | Making a powerful image
  • Graduated filter use for high-contrast scenes
  • Wide-angle photography | Thinking Wide
  • Night photography
  • Light-painting and other night effects
  • Proper use of filters: polarizers, ND, UV
  • Lightroom essentials
  • Advanced landscape photography techniques
  • Natural lighting
