About Monica - Monica Royal landed in California from Eastern Canada in 1999. She took her first photograph when she was 12 on a camera that was in such bad shape she had to shake it to make it work. Monica specializes in fine art macro photography. ” I see the world through a macro lens. While I appreciate sweeping landscape views, it’s the tiny lines of a leaf that catch my eye when I’m hiking.” Monica’s passion and excitement for fine art photography will inspire you to see things that others don’t. She wants you to look at things that you’ve seen a hundred times and see it differently.
Program – Monica Royal is a fine art photographer with a self-admitted obsession. Water. Little teeny, tiny drops of water. I tend to see the world on a macro scale. Trekking through the forest with me might not be the best idea since she may have her nose on the ground looking at a spec of something at any given moment. Her macro imagery is being widely recognized as unique and innovative. Come and see for yourself as she details the how, and even the why of what she does what she does.
“There are many other great subjects to photograph, but the challenge of creating art with water is a particularly cool one to me.”
