Challenging with so many people coming and going, dancing, posing, etc. Very fun event.

I had a lot of fun! This is my first time attending any photo shooting event so you can imagine how crazy and disorganized I was. I took so many pictures so I think a few of them did come out ok, lol! I could tell that the pics I took got a little better and better as time went by. I got to meet a few of you but not the rest since everyone is so busy taking pics. I learn a lot already just by seeing some of you in action and from the postings! Thanks see you all next time!

Wow! What a great meet up. I had a fantastic time. The costumes were fantastic. What a great idea for the employees. Thanks Dorothy.

This is just a suggestion because I am learning all this kind of thing myself, but you might want to set your camera on shutter priority rather than aperture priority. People will be moving around. Maybe something between 160-250. Look at what you have your ISO set to and adjust because of the daylight. I would start with 200 and see how some test shots look. Set your white balance for sun or cloudy depending on the day. As Ken Cohen, the guru, always says, "Focus on the eyes."

Looking forward to this. This is my first outing with the group. Any suggestions or tips on exposure setting etc to shoot such an event outdoors. Thanks

Dear photographers: Since this is the first time this event has been held I don't have a clue what it's going to turn out to be or how it will be staged. Expect chaos and then you will be pleasantly surprised. Just come and have fun. I don't think there will be any formal "meet the group" but if you see a hippie with a flower in her hair wandering around taking pictures that will be me. It's your call about tripods. All shooting will be outdoors.
