One-Light Portraiture with Jon Campbell/PPSDC

One-Light Portraiture April 22, 2014, 6 PM to 9 PM.

This workshop will be a study of light, its quality and direction directed by Jon Campbell, a Certified Professional Photographer who operates Jon Campbell Photographic Arts. We will discuss how to use our light from whatever source one has available, be it studio flash, speed light, LED, candle or whatever.

We will use this information to produce images with depth and dimension creating images that don't look like everyone else's. We will use primarily one light as many photographers do not have many to work with in the first place. These principles may be used in any type of photography. If you can learn to work with only one light, you can work anywhere.

The class will start with a Powerpoint Presentation then we will have the opportunity to work with a live model so bring your cameras and a Pocket Wizard if you have one. If you don't, it is not a problem.

The class will be held at the Twin Oaks Studio located at 768 N. Twin Oaks Valley Rd. Suite D, San Marcos, Ca. It is approx. 1 mile north of Hwy 78 on the west side of N. Twin Oaks Valley Rd. behind Tina's Deli.

The cost of the workshop is: $19 for PPSDC members and $29 for non-members.

Want to thank Jon also for giving us such a lovely model. I have never had the chance to work on a complexion such as Jessica's so the workshop was unique for me in many different ways!

Jon put on a great class as usual. For this class I think 19 people is a little much, if it was just lecture the number would have been fine. Taking time to shoot with the model was really limited with taking the shot and then reviewing then having to move along to give all the attendees a chance to photograph the model.

Excellent instruction by Jon. Handouts were very informative. Jessica our model was very good and helped illustrate jobs lessons. Nice group of photographers too!

Thanks for letting me know. I re-entered the address and I think it's fixed now, although the software won't let me see it out of edit mode.
