Thanks to all of the Meetup photographers who shot at SDIMF IV! I've added everyone I saw there who hadn't RSVPed to the Who Attended list, but I haven't subtracted any of the people I didn't see, since I don't know if they were there or not.

I had a great time... but still recovering. Looking forward to seeing everyone's shots.

I thought it was great! I ended up buying 2 CDs because i enjoyed the music so much. Now the daunting task of going through the 500 or so photos I took....

Thanks again to Avalon Center for serving as our Photography HQ! I opened my day there with donuts, and ended it there too, being one of a small group of folks who got to watch "Begleiter," a cool short film written, produced and directed by Dan Margules.

Now four years old, the Indie Music Fest has become one of the finest events in San Diego each year! I'm already looking forward to SDIMF V in 2009! I had a great time at IV, especially during several periods when I found myself leading small posses of 6-7 photographers and friends from venue to venue.

The Indie Fest was great. I had a great time shooting the performers, and meeting other photographers. I stayed until 1:00am for the last performance at Claire de Lune.

Change the name. Cut out the lower level performers and pull in the schedule. Make it all music. Film and art deserve their own shows.

This was my first Indie event, and I had a lot of fun shooting the different artists and participants. I got to meet some of the meetup members I haven't seen, and spend some time with members I know. Great Fun!!

The official team of photographers will be meeting up at Avalon Center, 3925 Ohio Street, between 11-12 to get our photo passes and for donuts. The rest of you are welcome to join us there too. During the day we will use Avalon Center as our break spot, so if you want to hook up with some of us later in the day, that will be a good place to look. Cya all soon!

As of right now we have a full team of "official photographers". If this changes I will post the info here. But I hope as many of you come down as you can. it is really a fun event and full of photographic opportunities.

We just arranged to use Avalon Center, at 3925 Ohio Street, as our Photography HQ. We should be able to gather there for donuts before going out to shoot, then we all can drop back there later when we need breaks. There will be places to sit, and food and beverages. Great big thanks to Marc Shannon and Marc Kitaen for offering us a home at Avalon!

Jack, a group of shooters are being organized by John Hancock to cover certain stages at certain times. If you want to be one of them, contact John and let him know you want to be part of the official team. Other photographers are just going to hang out on their own and do their own thing, in the true indie spirit.

    How is this organized? ..

I mean, is it just a free-for-all, everybody-do-what-you-want kinda day? Or is there some sort of structure to make sure that everything gets covered?

Like assignments? Teams to cover certain venues. ... Making sure that each venue is covered from all angles?
