Start as a group at In-N-Out Burger in National City for a bite to eat, meet & greet. Anyone willing to carpool with each other can make arrangements during our meal.
ALL ABOARD ~ the historic National City Depot Museum, a lovely Santa Fe station is just a few blocks away. This California Southern Railway station was the first terminus of transcontinental rail travel in the San Diego area. It is the oldest railroad-related structure still standing in San Diego County, and it is in its original location. The city of National City restored the structure to the way it was when it was built in 1882 - restored in 1998. The woodwork and other details of the interior are especially impressive.
ALL ABOARD ~ the travel to Rour Park is a short one for the annual Fall Meet there will be Free Rides to experience real, working steam engines, just smaller! There will be a whole lot of trains to look at and learn about in this evevt.
