What photo equipment do you shoot with and do you have a website to share?

I have a digital SLR, Canon EOS Digital XTi with 4 lenses and a flash unit. I received this camera as a reward for designing a logo, from a fellow teacher when she purchased a newer, more powerful camera.

Favorite travel locations you've been to or would like to visit?

I would love to return to Germany some day, as I lived there for 4 years, when my dad and our family were stationed there in the Army, from 1971 - 1975. I would also like to experience Hawaii

What are you hoping to get out of this group? (Be as descriptive as you'd like)

Though I've taken tens of thousands of photos in my lifetime, the majority have been point-and-shoot scenarios. I feel comfortable around the camera, but also relatively clueless. I took two photography classes at Grossmont Community College in 1982 & 1983, one of which was studio photography for a fine arts portfolio of my drawings,  paintings & sculptures. A major part of the first class was developing film and using an enlarger, but that was 32 years ago, and now everything is digital.

Do you like to explore new places and meet new people? (Be as descriptive as you'd like)

Yes

Who are your favorite photographers?

Would it be too much of a cliché to say Ansel Adams? His is the only name I recall from a photography class I took in college 32 years ago.

Introduction

Graphic Designer 31 years. Photography has always been a part of my graphics, but I still feel like a novice, particularly digital. I just signed a contract to teach Digital Photography & am feeling overwhelmed. Looking to fast-track my skillset.
