I use the Canon 60D (with an assortment of lenses) and an iPhone. I'm much more concerned with composition when I'm taking photos and the technicalities generally take a backseat. A good photo can be taken with almost ANY camera and by almost anyone, but to make a truly great photo, and to do it with consistency, practice, practice, practice. - I also collect vintage film cameras. Always on the lookout for more!
Visited the Middle East, Europe, South America, Carribean and have driven around the U.S and Canada. Love to return to Paris and New York to prowl the streets with my camera. Easter Island (Rapa Nui), off the coast of Chile, is at the very top of my list
I enjoy getting people together to see them indulging in their photographic passion. This is the perfect way to meet, share and enjoy. Going on location shoots with others gives me a chance to interact and share the passion photography brings to me.
I like to push the envelope at times and enjoy going places that hold adventure and mystery along with capturing those images in the decisive moment, ala Henri Cartier-Bresson. Always looking at life through a lens.
Weston, Bourke-White, Lartigue, Cartier Bresson and more...I am steeped in the history of photography from years of being around photographers, books on photography, attending gallery shows and being a volunteer at The Museum Of Photographic Arts. I currently am a house photographer at The Belly Up Tavern and cover music at this and other venues for NBC.com SoundDiego, SDCityBeat and several other publications.
Quite simply, I enjoy taking photos. I also enjoy seeing the happiness that photography brings to other people. Bringing people together with that common interest is my goal for this group. You can visit my work here: http://www.pbase....
