Timba & Salsa night at the Kava Lounge, Tuesday June 16th!

Hi salseros! Join us this Tuesday, June 16th for our second Timba & Salsa night at the Kava Lounge! We'll be playing non-stop Timba, salsa & son--the only place in San Diego that's playing Timba. If you're not familiar with Timba, it's a Cuban fusion of what you normally know as salsa, along with upbeats and accents of funk and r&b. It was developed in Cuba right about the same time that salsa was developing up in New York city. Normally you'd have to fly up to San Francisco, Miami or New York to get your Timba fill--not anymore. So join us this Tuesday. No dress to impress, no attitudes, come in your sneakers, a smile, and dance non-stop! Cover is $5 and there will be drink specials. I will be teaching a salsa class at 8:30, and dancing goes from 9:15 till midnight. See you there, ahi na' ma!
