John Lennon Art Exhibition - Flower Hill Promenade Del Mar - 6:30pm

Very rare time to catch some of these pieces on exhibition locally. This event is FREE. I am doing this in conjunction with the San Diego Photography Collectives, which I also coordinate, so there should be a fairly large turnout. Remember, If you're running late, we'll see you inside.

Not sure what the rules will be on cameras, but bring yours along and we'll find out. Could be a good time to get some interesting photos either way, especially if you own a smartphone.

See you out front of the exhibit.

NOTE: Arrive early to secure parking. It could be busy at the mall and give yourself time to find the exhibit.

Special exhibition in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Beatles Ed Sullivan appearance, the night four English musicians boarded a plane from London headed to New York and won the collective heart of America.

Exhibit features over 120 serigraphs, signed lithographs and song lyrics by the legendary Beatles. It will also include rare artwork that have never been exhibited in San Diego as well as lithographs from the Bag One portfolio, each individually hand signed by John.

This portfolio has become increasingly rare to find in its entirety. A complete set is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The exhibition is being produced by Pacific Edge Gallery, with the full cooperation of Yoko Ono and the John Lennon estate. Previous exhibitions produced by Pacific Edge Gallery have attracted huge attendance, as well as extensive print, radio, and television coverage. There will be no admission charge to see the show. A catalog will be on sale and the artworks will be available for purchase.

The so-called Art of John Lennon exhibition and sale, owned by Yoko Ono, run by her business associates Pacific Edge Gallery, consists of -non-disclosed- posthumous [after 1986] colorized and altered forgeries with counterfeit John Lennon chopmark/signatures in bogus editions that are being offered, for sale for hundreds to thousands of dollars each, as original works of visual art ie., lithographs, serigraphs and etchings. What proof is there to support these allegations? John Lennon tragically died in 1980. This link further documents these contentious issues of authenticity as it applies to Pacific Edge Gallery:

There are 16 signed up to attend from my San Diego Photography Collective, so we should be a fairly good sized group outside for you to find.
