Do Some Geocaching

I work for the San Diego River Park Foundation and we have a huge event called "River Days" that takes place in May. We have events that span the entire San Diego River, which is 52 miles, from Julian to Ocean Beach. I am looking for groups that want to have an event during River Days, and I thought it might be fun to do some geocaching along the river. Other options would be hiking, bike riding, rock climbing, cleanups, etc. Would you be interested in hosting an event, or do you know anyone who might?

Sorry for the late notice! We will meet tomorrow (Sat.) morning at 9am near Old Man's Pond in Santee. From Hwy. 52, take Cuyamaca St. north, then turn east on Town Center Pkwy. and follow the signs to the San Diego River Days event. Long pants are recommended in case we do some bushwacking. It's also recommended to register for the event here: http://sandiegoriver.org/sdriverdays/geo-trashing-river-clean-up

Hope some of y'all can make it.

Is this event still on? Where do we meet and do we need to know how to use a gps?

The event is still on. Check out the link I posted. Experienced geocachers will be there to explain the game and probably lead a search for caches

In general, geocaching is finding treasures that others have hidden, usually while hiking, in an organized way. I suggest looking up the word for the fun details :)
