Dave, I can't thank you enough for that link, has some really interesting links for sure.

I found one of a cool museum I'll for sure check out when I go to Georgia for AIT training, check this out:

Glad you liked it. There are lots of interesting places on that website.

Los Angeles has plenty of opportunities for urban exploration, as well as many oddities. I haven't done much there, but what I can recommend...

The Watts Towers
Venice Beach Freak Show
The Museum of Jurassic Technology
The Old LA Zoo

Here's the album from my last trip to LA.

I live in Barrio Logan, and there are some decent spots in my area. It's not sketchy (especially not if you're from ny). I originally hail from Chicago so I have an itch to see some graf work as well.

I also want to explore some downtown abandoned buildings. I'm sure there is some good stuff out there. I'm in if anyone else is...

Here's the Watts Towers:

I drove up to LA one day and got to the towers just as the rain stopped. Was lucky enough to get a near private tour of them (with just another couple along) and take as many pictures as I wanted. Also visited the museum next door and got to talk to the people who were running it.

I went to Niland a few months back en route to Bombay Beach - there was a liquor store gutted by fire, you could get in through the back entrance. Amazing chance for some pics (its roofless and empty apart from garbage but the scorched walls are pretty cool).

Gosh, that was probably one of the biggest businesses in Niland.

Now they're going to have to drive a long way to get their booze.
