Welcome to the San Jose Pug Meetup Group! If you're a new member, we're very glad to have you join us, and we look forward to meeting you and your Pug(s) at our next meetup. If you're thinking about joining, here's a bit about us...
We have an active message board AND mailing list where you can post your questions, ideas, and concerns. It's a great place to learn about Pugs and share information. We discuss Pug health, diet, and behavior, among other things. New members: feel free to post an introduction about you and your Pug(s)!
Members also have the opportunity to post a profile of themselves and their Pugs, and share their funniest Pug story. Our photo album is also open to members who wish to post pictures of their Pugs and from the meetups.
Several times a year, we have fun events and parties to celebrate holidays and special occasions. These parties are usually held indoors, offer food and drinks, and sometimes even have "special guests" like a pet photographer!
There is a nominal $5 yearly fee per Pug to participate in our meetup group. These dues pay for Meetup.com's fees to host our website, send out automated emails, and keep our group organized on the web. Dues can be paid at most regular meetups and special events, and online through PayPal.
We welcome non-Pug buddies large and small to our meetups and special events as long as they play gently with Pugs. (Note: Our regular meetup location, Fontana Dog Park, also has an adjacent large dog area). Water (for humans and dogs), shade, and limited seating are available at our meetup location.
Please note: our group has a policy against the solicitation for breeding studs/dams & the selling/brokering of puppies on our Message Board, Mailing List, and at Meetups. Our meetup exists for fellowship and learning, not to help further individual breeding practices.
