A Friday Night Walk at Eisenhower Park on Fried Chicken Day

Eisenhower Park is one of San Antonio's favorite hiking parks.  It offers trails at various difficulty levels.  However, we will stick primarily to the Yucca Trail (Dirt Trail) and the Cedar Flats Trail (a paved trail) on the way up, and the Cedar Flats Trail on the way down.

Our route will be about 2.2 miles, and will take us just under an hour to complete.  Although some of the route is somewhat steep, it is an easily manageable route for most people and dogs, and we have had great walks here in the past.

In celebration of Fried Chicken Day, I will be bringing fried chicken from Popeye's. Bringing fried chicken, or bringing something that would complement fried chicken, or bringing drinks of some kind would only enhance this event. Because the evenings are light enough now, we will take the Yucca Trail on the way up as we did last Summer. Bringing something is not required.

Distance: 2.2 miles

Time: 50 minutes

Temperature: TBA

Conditions: TBA

Walk Difficulty: Moderate

Walk Traffic: Low.  No bikes are allowed in this park

Goal: Tower at the end of the Cedar Flats Trail, which provides a great view of San Antonio.

Leash Rules:  All dogs should be on a leash.  All leashes should be 6 feet or shorter

Flew back in from Detroit today. More than likely I won't be there tonight.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
