Equipped with large amounts of parking, doggie bags, a doggie and people water fountain, and beautiful landscaping, this park is the new jewel of the Leon Creek Greenbelt which now extends from south of Bandera all the way to Valero Park at I-10 and 1604.
We will be heading north towards Valero Park, however we will not go that far. The walk will be approximately 2 miles at a relatively leisurely pace.
If there is interest, we will go to Brindles Ice Cream afterward. Brindles is a dog-friendly ice cream establishment located in the Strand Shopping Center at Huebner and I-10.
Here is a summary of the walk:
Approximate Time: 50 minutes
Location Proximity: Within 10 miles of a large percentage of Northwest and North Central San Antonio, Leon Valley, and Helotes.
Approximate Temperature: 90
Conditions: No Rain
Difficulty Level: Easy
Traffic on Path: Moderate
Water: Available at the beginning of the walk. Bringing water for yourself and for your dog is highly advisable.

Fox Park is approximately 1.5 miles West of I-10 and Hausman, and approximately .8 miles East of the Babcock/ Hausman intersection. If you are coming from I-10 it is on the left side of Hausman Road (South). If you are coming from I-10 it will be before the Leon Creek Bridge. It is indicated as Fox Park on Google Maps.
