August 6th, Thursday Movie: Shadow Magic Meetup Time: 6:30pm Movie Showtime: 8:00pm San Diego Museum Of Art (Front Lawn Area) 1450 El Prado San Diego, CA 92101 [masked] General Admission: FREE Host: Eric aka Eric31 (619)[masked] (Mobile) [masked] The San Diego Asian Film Foundation is presenting the 2001 film "Shadow Magic". I will arrive early and plant myself a spot for the Arthouse Movie group with the help of fellow members. Bring a blanket, chair and your own picnic basket and enjoy a wonderful Summer evening under the stars watching a movie. I will try to mark our presence with our meetup sign and mylar balloons.
Synopsis: The San Diego Museum of Art and the San Diego Asian Film Foundation present "Shadow Magic," a story about the introduction of the cinema in Beijing, China in 1902 when a young portrait photographer befriends a newly-arrived Englishman with a projector, camera and plans to open the Shadow Magic theatre. So bring a blanket and your picnic basket for SDMA's annual free film series, located on the lawn adjacent to the Museum. Please note that our program this evening contains subtitles.

It was nice to have the out door experience. The park is so lovely in the evening. This was a great movie.

What a gorgeous setting for a movie. I was surprised the sub-titles were so easy to read from so far away. Lovely movie, too. Steve took some photos, I'll post them later today.
