October 4th, Sunday Movie: Paris Meetup Time: 11:00am Movie Showtime: 11:15am Landmark's Hillcrest Cinemas [masked]th Avenue San Diego, CA 92103 (619)[masked] Matinee Ticket: $8 Host: Eric aka Eric31 (619)[masked] (Mobile) [masked] Well, it time for a French movie full of French movie stars. Let's go for a matinee of "Paris".
Synopsis: Cédric Klapish, the beloved director of L'Auberge Espangole, gathers together some of the biggest actors in French cinema for a valentine to the city of lights. The all-star cast includes Oscar-winner Juliette Binoche, Romain Duris, Melanie Laurent, Fabrice Luchini, Francois Cluzet and Karin Viard. While waiting for a heart transplant that could save his life, Pierre (Duris) grows close again with his sister (Binoche) and her lively children. This rediscovery of his family and observation of the teeming streets outside his window give Pierre a new, hopeful sense of how he might spend the time still left to him. A cinematic love letter to the city that seems to hide a story behind every shop window, small alley, street market or grand apartment building, the film explores the life and love possible only in Paris. (Fully subtitled)

Once again a good film with a great group of people. The movie is like a slow burn that moves slowly then stays with you for a month or so. The film has several coexisting plots of the love in the city of Paris. The love of family, the love in a youthful romance, the love in a marriage, the love of the city and all its surprise potential romances in every shop or apartment window and most of all the love of life. All the stories of all the people in that most beautiful city. Chatting afterwards was fun and enlightening as always.
