SHORT TERM 12 @Hillcrest, Q&A Follows w/Director, Producer....

Synopsis (From Landmark Theatres):
Short Term 12 is a powerful and emotional story told through the eyes of Grace (Brie Larson, The Spectacular Now), a twenty-something supervisor at a facility for at-risk teenagers. Passionate and tough, Grace is a formidable caretaker of the kids in her charge, and in love with her long-term boyfriend and co-worker, Mason (John Gallagher Jr.). But Grace's own difficult past—and the surprising future that suddenly presents itself—throw her into unforeseen confusion, made all the sharper with the arrival of a new intake at the facility: a gifted but troubled teenage girl named Jayden (Kaitlyn Dever) with whom Grace has a charged connection. While the subject matter is complex, this lovingly realized film finds truth—and humor—in unexpected places. Written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Winner of the Grand Jury Award and Audience Award at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival.

Alexis Greek works for me. Yelp says Pho 5th Ave is good, and Tiki Taka (Israeli food) is very good.

I prefer an early dinner after the movie. I am not too familiar with some of the restaurants close by. The ones I used to go to have closed up shop (City Deli, Pizza Nova, and Luna Cafe'). I am open to suggestions. The one place down the street that I enjoyed that's still open is Alexis Greek Cafe.

Saw a preview recently at my favorite indie theatre in Maine. Looked quite good. Didn't realize the filmakers were local. I'd be up for an early dinner after the Q&A but already have lunch plans.

I saw an advance screening of this film and definitely recommend it. Support a local filmmaker, see a great film, and enjoy a Q&A afterward - what could be better?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
