Brian Cardarella: Introduction to Ember-CLI

Learn how to build and TDD a simple app with ember-cli. Brian will go over es6 modules, the Broccoli build system, the ember-cli conventions, and live-code an application.

Brian Cardarella is CEO and President at DockYard in Boston. At age 12, Brian began coding and, by age 14, he had one of his games featured in Newsweek magazine. Since then, he’s had papers published on large integer mathematics and has spent years learning and honing his talent. He is fluent in C/C++, Assembler (MASM), and TCL. But for the last several years, he's been a dedicated Rubyist. His portfolio of work spans enterprise business, a top start-up and an international political organization. Brian built The Boston Ruby Group to one of the largest in the world and is active in the software community at large.

It was an excellent confirmation that Ember is a solid tool to use with a long term future. Brian's presentation and tips on becoming familiar with Ember core api v helpful.

Awesome meetup! Thanks to Brian Cardarella and the sdjs organizers! I wish more people hung out after though.

Everyone, EvoNexus does parking validation so feel free to park in the garage under the building and bring your ticket upstairs with you to the Meetup and we will validate it!

Never used Ember.js, but sounds intriguing. Maybe it will <bad joke> *spark* some interest with me. Or I'll meet my flame</bad joke>. But seriously, I wrote a coupe of single-page apps and my methods were primitive. I'd like to get my head around a more elegant way.
Too bad this time overlaps with the Advanced WordPress Group meetup! Sacrifice!!
