I'm about a 5. When I first started learning JS, years ago, it was that annoying script that newbie designers used to break webpages. I've kept up with it like how it's grown and how much more functional it has become since, but I'm not as familiar with the newer libraries and frameworks.
I'm an experienced designer and newer developer pursuing my MSCIS from Boston University, emphasis in web application development. I think there isn't enough communication going between developers and designers. So the more we interact, the better.
