Members of the San Diego Motorcycle Community as well as our 2 wheeled brothers and sisters around SoCal are called upon to dedicate the memory of Neysa by doing what she loved to do best, RIDE!

Neysa Ornelas passed away tragically during a motorcycle accident on March 3, 2013. She left behind hundreds of us who were graced with her presence on this earth for the short time she was here. She also leaves behind her precious 7 year old son Derreynn.

We will meet at South Bay Motorsports at 9:00 A.M. (Kick Stands Up at 10:00 A.M.) and take a route down Highway 94 to Cameron Corner and return back
to Southbay Motorsports via Highway 8 to meet and have raffles as well as other events to cherish her memory. Proceeds will be going to her family.

We expect a HUGE turnout for this ride to number in the hundreds.

Details are still being worked out at this time, check back for updates.

Sunday Mobile Canyon Runners joined the run. We was the last ones out and the last ones back. That was a great event with so many bikers in the mountain and only a few riders rent down. As usual "turn 4" bit someone. Our fallen riders will be missed and a great event done well.

    A BIKER PRAYER

    Biker Angel be my guide
As I climb upon my scoot to ride.
Let your halo guide the way and
Keep me safe from harm today.
Let your wings provide me wind and air
And send it coursing through my hair.
Find for me a sunny place and let
    It shine upon my face.
Keep the clouds and rain at bay
And keep me dry throughout the day.
Watch over my brothers who ride with me
Keep them safe and close to thee.
Keep my wheels upon the ground
So I'll return here safe and sound.
But should disaster be my fate,
Guide me through to heaven's gate.
If I must join my fallen brethren,
Please show me the way to Biker Heaven.

I really liked when Xander read this.

8:00 AM – Parking lot attendants will arrive

8:30 AM – All safety teams (leaders and sweepers) as well as anybody assisting the day of will arrive and brief. 9:00 AM – STAGING BEGINS. All riders attending this ride should start arriving at 9 AM

9:45 AM – RIDERS MEETING/LAST CALL. All riders attending this ride should be present for a riders meeting.

10:00 AM – Kick stands up. Expected ride start.

    12 · March 15, 2013

    • Tony S.

Even if you do not complete the memorial ride (it is 100+ miles NONSTOP and expected to go more than 2 hours), please return to South Bay Motorsports to buy a raffle ticket, get a free lunch, and donate to Neysa’s fund. PLEASE KEEP YOUR RSVP ACCURATE SO WE CAN HAVE AN ACCURATE HEAD COUNT OF HOW MUCH FOOD AND BEVERAGE WE WILL NEED TO PURCHASE.

When you arrive at South Bay Motorsports in the morning, there will be parking lot attendants on site to guide you to the staging area. Please indicate to the parking lot attendant upon your arrival that you are here to ride the memorial ride and follow their directions. We are breaking the ride into groups of 20. Due to the expected masses of bikes arriving, it will be very hard, if not impossible, to move you into another group once you are placed, so please, if you are expecting to ride with certain people or a group, please arrive early and please arrive together.

      6 · March 15, 2013

RIDERS MEETING IS AT 945 AM. This meeting will contain VALUABLE information on how the ride is going to go and what’s going to happen in the event of a breakdown or crash. PLEASE ARRIVE BEFORE 945 AM and PLEASE attend the meeting. We will be breaking up the expected[masked] riders into groups of 20 with designated leaders and sweepers. We have spent DAYS and HOURS planning this ride and going over worse case scenarios. We have contingencies in place for crashes, emergencies, and mechanical breakdowns.

AND ABOVE ALL. Have fun! Let’s honor Neysa’s memory and have a good showing, an awesome ride, and let’s get everybody back in one piece.
