It's a wonderful way to meet other veggie people, as well as to discover new places to eat.
Concern for animals and the environment were the starting point, and those are hard to separate from the welfare of humankind. And as it turns out, going veg is good for our health, too!
My husband Dennis and I became vegan in mid 2010.
We had been vegetarian since 1998, but we were troubled by what we learned about the dairy and egg industries. We kept cutting back on those items more and more, until finally we realized we were ready to change for good.
I'm looking forward to activities with other vegans and vegetarians.
