Explore one of the San Mateo County coastside's less traveled parks. See both first and second growth redwoods as well as great views and maybe some calypso orchids. 11-12 miles; 1800 ft elev gain, with optional loop of 1.5 miles. Return to cars approx 6 PM.
Moderate pace; not for speed demons or gazelles, but not a beginner's hike.
Meet: by the park’s entry kiosk.
Directions: From Half Moon Bay, go south on Highway 1 to Pescadero Road. Turn left on Pescadero Road through town, then go right on Cloverdale Road and proceed south about five miles to park entrance.
Cancellation: Rain on morning of hike cancels.
