Come help us celebrate a Sierra Singles member's July birthday on this moderate paced 12 miles with rolling hills, hike to Alamere falls, which is one of the few water falls that flows onto a beach, by way of Wildcat Beach. We will have great views of the Pacific Ocean and Southern Point Reyes.
Bring: Water, (no water at trailhead), lunch and snacks to share (Birthday goodies gladly accepted!).
Meet: 10 am at the Palomarin trailhead in Bolinas.
Directions: From Hwy 101 in Marin take the Marin City/Hwy 1 exit to Stinson Beach, continue north on Hwy 1 to Bolinas, turn left onto Bolinas Rd. (no sign) and drive 2.5 miles to Mesa Rd. Turn right on Mesa Rd. and go about 6 miles to the Palomarin Trailhead. Alternate route: Take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd. from Hwy 101 and drive west about 20 miles to the town of Olema and turn left onto Hwy 1. Go about 9 miles south on Hwy 1 to Bolinas Rd. (which is usually not marked), turn right and go 2.5 miles to Mesa Rd. Turn right on Mesa Rd. and drive about 6 miles to the trailhead.
