Details: Explore Mission Peak Regional Preserve from end to end. Enjoy expansive views of the South Bay and little explored parts of this park. The distance is approximately 9 miles with approximately 2500 feet of elevation gain. The peak will be our lunch stop and we will return to the cars by sunset.
Pace: Moderate to leisurely, i.e. approximately 2 mph on average. If you prefer to hike really fast and get back early, this is not the hike for you. Conversely this is not a stroll. If 2 mph is faster than you like to hike you will not enjoy this one. Mellow hikers especially welcome.
