Event details - Please read this information carefully before RSVP'ing for this event.

With Schroeder's closed for renovation for several months we will be trying several new venues over the next couple of months as we seek to find a long term home for our SFWT Events.

We'll be meeting at a new venue, The Press Club for our SFWT January Event. http://www.pressclubsf.com/

The venue offers us a private bar area, as well as access to their public bar area. Food is also available also be purchased should anyone wish to eat at the venue.

SFWT supports The United Nation's Foundations "Nothing but Nets' initiative to provide mosquito bed nets to families in Africa. As such all attendees are requested to make a minimum $1.00 donation to this important and valuable cause (of course if you'd like to give more you are welcome to do so.

Donations are not used to cover meet up fees or expenses and are contributed 100% to 'Nothing but Nets'. For more information go to www.nothingbutnets.net.

RSVP Policy:
SFWT offers a social setting for traveler's in the Bay Area to meet their fellow travelers at no cost to themselves. In doing so we ask our members to be considerate when RSVP'ing for events. As our community of SFWT members is large (almost 4,000 members) our events fill up quickly and are frequently waitlisted.

SFWT members are reminded to please change their RSVP if their plans change to free up space for others who might otherwise be left on the waiting list on the day of the event.

By RSVP'ing for any San Francisco World Travelers event you accept, understand and agree that your attendance at any of the groups activities is undertaken entirely at your own risk.

Going down to Curacao for a week in late February, would be very interested in comments on diving, a good kite surf outfit for learning, interesting clubs, natural sites, etc. Hope to chat with anyone with 'words of wisdom' on the 27th.

I'm planning a trip back to Tibet to Mt. Kailash, to climb to the inner kora this Oct./Nov. I'd enjoy hearing about other's experiences of this area of Tibet.

I plan on attending but am wondering if I will be the only senior in the group. I couldn't do Aconcagua or base camp but am up for more moderate trips.

Hi Jane, the group contains people of a wide variety of ages but keep in mind we don't plan group travel. We simply provide a forum to share travel ideas, experiences and feedback.

Lol, after the month off for the holidays I've been going through SFWT withdrawls. I can't wait to meet up with everybody before I leave for Honduras at the end of January

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
