Hi Ladies,

I thought I would take a minute to thank all of you for being part of this amazing group. In my time as a member I have met some amazing women and adorable kiddos, creating long lasting relationships for both my daughters and for myself. As an organizer, I have seen the group from behind the scenes, trying to come up with new and interesting events, keeping everyone as excited as I am to be a part of this group. I plan on keeping the momentum going, so keep an eye out for new and fun events as well as repeating some of the more popular events. As always, any help in hosting, posting or suggesting meet ups is greatly appreciated.

Membership dues:
The annual fee to be a part of the San Jose Moms Group is $12 per year, pro-rated ($5 min) payable via cash or through Meet-up (click on the blue dollar amount under 'Membership Dues'). It is due within 14 days of joining the group and due every following year by the end of January. This is your responsibility, as trying to keep up with every members' sign-up date is proving to be very time consuming.

All new members will be allowed to checkout the calendar and attend events for Free for a 2 week 'trial period". Payment must be received within this 2 weeks (1-2 grace period) or you will be removed from the group. You are welcome to rejoin, with prompt payment. Previous members are NOT entitled to the 'free trial period". Payment must be made within 24 hours of rejoining.

***Featured events will NOT be available for those on the 'trial period'. In order to attend these specialty events, payment must be received.

Although most of the events do not require a separate fee, there may be times that the host of the event will ask for payment or donations to cover products purchased for the groups. (ie. crafts, rental fees, etc.)

Profile Picture:
New members will not be approved without an identifiable profile picture of yourself. At anytime, if you change your profile to a pic of your kid, dog, favorite beach or an unidentifiable selfie, you will be contacted one time and asked to change the pic within 24 hours. If the profile pic does not meat these restrictions, you will be removed from the group. (No refunds)

I am requiring you to attend at least one event every 3 months to remain active. Failure to do so, may result in removal of your membership.

No shows- 3 no shows may result in removal from the group. If you are a no show, you are welcome and encouraged, but not required, to send me a private note to explaining the reason for the no show (not attending an event that you RSVP'd yes to).

Please update your RSVP as things change. It is very important to change your RSVP to 'no' if you are no longer able to attend. That way we don't expect you and it opens a spot up to the next person. If you fail to change your status, it will be changed to 'no-show' for you.

Event Host:
Although there has not been a requirement before to host an event, I would like to see an increase of members hosting an event. Hosting an event is quite easy. You can host a playdate at your house, at a park, at a fun kid friendly place (museum, bounce house, pool, mall, etc.) or you can host a family BBQ, a Moms Night Out or anything you can come up with. You are also welcome to co-host an event with another member. To schedule a meet-up, simply go to suggestions and complete the details/info listed. It will be added to the calendar automatically.

Group Reviews:
Please rate each meet-up as it will help me to know which events you all really liked and which ones didn't work so well.

To entice and encourage people to the events, I have been taking more pictures at the meet-ups of our kids and of each other. Unless you state otherwise, I will assume that you are fine with these pictures being posted on our group page. Each member that attends is welcome and encouraged to post pics as well. If you would rather not have pics of you or your child on our group page, please let me know. This is not problem at all!
