Come on down to the Grange and share food and conversation with sustainable living friends !
Thanks to Various volunteers sharing the task of opening and closing the Grange to keep the potlucks going -- Jim from Suburban Homesteading, Ellen from the Grange and others !
Since this is a regular event many folks do not RSVP--but it's nice when you do.
Bring a nice dish (and serving implement) and/or beverage. The Grange has a full kitchen, with devices to reheat things cooled and plenty of tableware. Also bring something for the market table if you'd like to.
What's a market table? Our potlucks are a way to share when we produce more of something than we need or otherwise have surplus of the stuff of sustainable living. Just bring your bounty to sell, barter, or gift on the market table.
Please wash your dishes and such. We could also use some help putting away chairs and tables and sweeping up at the end of the evening.
Some potluck tips: - In general, try to bring enough of your dish that if you and your crew only had that to eat, you'd all be full - Label your dish: what is it?, is it veggie or vegan?, nuts in there?, gluten? (an ingredients list or recipe would be even better!) - How fun to bring quarter-page copies of the recipe for your dish! - No fingers in serving bowls or lips on serving spoons!
Guests welcome in your RSVP. See ya!
