Laura Rinaldi, Nathan Pierce and Joyce Perrelli will present
Tonight we will be looking at the following websites and asking for feedback.
• http://villadelmontewinery.com (Joyce will present/review her site which we recently re-developed with Canvas)
Joyce and her husband Neil co-own Villa del Monte Winery, a small boutique winery on Summit Road. Joyce manages the web site, social media, and events while Neil and his business partner John tend to the winemaking duties – all in addition to their “real” jobs working in high tech. Joyce will talk about the recent redesign of the Villa del Monte Winery web site.
• http://beerexamschool.com (Nathan is looking for feedback on specific questions)
Nathan is studying for Certified Beer Server exam (http://beerexamschool.com)
He has been doing WordPress only since May. "I use the Get Noticed!" Theme.
I also do WordPress on http://microbrewr.com, but that was already set up when I took it over. I think it uses a different theme. I know even less about that one.
Born and raised in captivity, in Los Angeles, Laura escaped to the Santa Cruz Mountains where I and my chickens are now free range. I like to solve people's problems. There is nothing more thrilling then taking what a client has given me and returning back the results beyond what they expected. I have been working in graphic design for almost 30 years now, and in Wordpress since version 2.3 or so (before it was easy to update to the next version).
Background about clients: Kudos Capture just wanted one page, that was it. They wanted it quick and dirty, and didn't even have copy when I first started.
KingsleyGate wanted a long front page, and then inside pages, so their long one pager works a little differently. They too had no idea about what they wanted, other that.
Both sites I just did by the seat of my pants, designing from the web, rather than doing a psd first.
