I'll start the meeting with a 10-15 minute informational presentation or an open discussion on a topic of interest to the group, such as writing engaging scenes, creating multi-dimensional characters, a brief study of a particular author or genre, etc. (If anyone wants to do a presentation, please let me know.)
We'll then spend 10 minutes writing together based on a prompt, followed by sharing what we've written, for those who would like to, (feel free to pass if you like).
The third part of the meeting is for those who'd like to get feedback on something they've written. Depending on the size of the group for the evening, and how many want to share, we may skip the prompt writing time to give more time to sharing work we'd like feedback on.
FYI: The Porter Memorial Library asks for a donation for use of the the space. They suggest $1-2 per person.
