This was a great event about computers. There NEEDS to be more kids ones.

It was my first Meet-up and I very much enjoyed it. I was comfortable networking, and am still in awe of Joby Energy and Joby Aviation; I've always wanted a jet-pack. I'm happy to see it may soon be a reality. Thank you Doug, Amy Kathryn, David and Robert.

Wow! For a first exposure to this great group of people---I was blown away! I could see the future in the four presentations and in the tech-ed from the young techies. I think what I liked best was the informal atmosphere (I was overdressed! Jeans next time?!) and the willingness of everyone to be interested and share. I made some great contacts, not just for me, but for other acquaintances that did not attend. I even saw a few familiar faces. I'll definitely return and bring friends!

I really enjoyed Kids in Tech. It was great exposure for them and fun for us to see their projects! Main area of improvement for kids is more around how to handle themselves in that type of situation. Simple things like eye contact, how to summarize their work, sell themselves, ask for advice or input, etc. Reagarding the presentations - they were really fun to see, one was very relevant to my interests and i will be following up with them. I also liked the format - short and sweet and let folks follow up separately for longer or deeper conversations.

Great to have the young people show there amazing science projects. (thanks David Warren) Kite power speaker was mind bending! Many UCSC faculty in the audience. Keep up the good work!

One of the best meetups ever!
  • Steven Olson
    Great presentations!

Thanks again to the folks putting these things together! Tiny gripe: The food was a bit underwhelming. Missed the old pizza, etc. :-)
  • Jim Fitzgerald
I enjoyed the diverse and interesting technology presentations. Providing teens an opportunity to demonstrate their talents was wonderful! The little round tables in the middle of the networking space made it feel crowded to me.
  • Michael Leppitsch
Great mixing, inspiring presentations, good contacts. Can't wait till the next one, and eventually present as well. Surely the venue can fix the internet access issues from all areas of the space by next time!
