Re: [newtech-86] Waa Waa HP...

Hello All,

I whole heartedly support Santa Cruz Tech MeetUP activities that support the exposure to new technology and business development. I don't believe we should exclude company's like HP supporting the group's activities. There will always be a fine line separating pure company promotion and allowing ourselves to be exposed to new or existing technology. Having an open minded forum promotes the generation of new product and service ideas.

As far as the recent negative comments - just ignore them!

Regards,

Carlos

I agree with Steve Blum.  The mail from HP didn't even hit my radar.
The pizza did though.

Thanks to the volunteers for all your efforts.  There will always be purists and complainers at either extreme.  Do what seems reasonable, tasteful, "fair", whatever.  You have gotten us this far and seem to have decent judgement.  I don't mind occasional "mistakes" (= not what I might have done, looking from the outside).

I didn't even notice the email from H-P. If the Santa Cruz New Tech Meetup gets a cool presentation or a few bucks for pizza, and the price I have to pay is the couple of tenths of a second it takes me to click past an unwanted email, I'm happy.

Bottom line: I'm fine with whatever decision the volunteers who have stepped up to run our Meetup make.

Thank you for the hard work!
