Bonfire at Dockweiler Beach

Last time was a lot of fun so lets do it again. See the reviews from last time:
http://www.meetup.com...

Lets have a bonfire at Dockweiler Beach. I will set the official time at 7:00pm, but I will get there in the afternoon by 2:00pm to reserve a firepit. If anyone can come early I would love the company. I will update the comments when I get there to let you know where we are exactly.

As always, I had a lot of fun with you guys! The big turnouts of newcomers was nice to see, and made for some great conversations.

The bonfire was great. The tiny little after party at Sharkeez was fun, too. I can't really say much beyond that except: don't drink and drive. =/

Can someone bring hot dog skewers, i forgot

Last time we were at Dockweiler for the bonfire cops were driving up and down the beach and occasionally checking people for alcohol. If you want some, i would advise against having the actual bottle or using those red/blue cups as they attract just as much attention. Bring alcohol in a disguised juice bottle or something like that.

i'm thinking of bringing a cheese platter and a bottle of wine. is wine okay...i know beaches usually don't permit it. Nhi, Jon, let me know if that's a bad idea.

Carpool anyone? This is far for me, so I'd like to carpool -- I'm in the SFV centrally located near where the 101 meets the 405, so if you're going that way, let me know.

Any suggestions to what I can bring?

No dogs, and there are police cruising around so not a good idea to bring one. High chance of a ticket.

Thanks for arrainging this again Jon. Yes street parking is free but I think it was 10PM when u cant park on the street anymore and they started towing, so start planning the afterparties at 9:30. It seemed like those who paid for parking got to stay a tad bit later.

Hey James, It costs $8 to park in the lots right on the beach, but you can also try and park up along the road for free but i believe after a certain time they start giving out tickets and or towing so be careful
