6 MILE WATERFALLS** HIKE...

followed by the INCREDIBLY INTERESTING Calimigos Ranch ( there's a REALLY friendly COW... a Merry Go Round... a large POND with Paddle-Boats and a TERRIFIC restaurant with great burgers and Mimosas )

**Waterfalls may be incredibly "underwhelming" due to no rain since 1200 BC

give yourself an hour 10 minutes drive-time from the west side

Leave 9:45AM to get there on time and park

Restroom at trail-head

Elevation change is nominal... approx 600 feet. We'll be going at a relaxed pace.

Yes, with a generous help from Android app called My Tracks. I also traced the route by using ruler, compass and a live bird.

Recipe info for those interested The original http://www.womanandhome.com/recipes/531138/apple-and-cinnamon-flapjacks

    My version
    2 sticks butter
1/2 cup baker's (fine ground) sugar
    3oz (6 tbsp) honey
6oz (6 tbsp) golden syrup (or substitue molasses instead)

    1 lb rolled oats
    4 apples, chopped

    2 tbsp chopped fresh ginger
    1/2 tsp ground cloves
    1/4 cup chopped raw almonds

Mix of raisins, dried cranberries, dried blueberries, pumpkin or sunflower seeds for color texture and protein

    Heat oven to 350F
Line cookie sheet with baking parchment

In a pan, melt butter, sugar, syrup and honey together until dissolved
In a large bowl mix oats, apples, spices and additional ingredients
Pour melt mixture into apple mixture and stir thoroughly Spread onto cookie sheet
Bake 35-45 minutes until golden brown
    Remove and let cool
Slide out onto cutting board and cut into preferred bar size
Makes a few dozen depending on size

Put extra cumbly bits into a bowl with whip cream for dessert

    Enjoy
