Y'all realize this hike ain't over till Saturday...right? I suggest using the transporter or a unicorn to get back. Too damn long riding Yaks and turtles.

    4 · April 3

    • Kim C

Because I used the teleporter right before you, and the black box revealed it's secrets to me! (Side bar: What I don't understand is if the black box always survives why don't they make the whole plans out of that material?!)

Whew. I finally made it back but barely. I was abducted by a ravenous group of female yetis who lived in a labyrinth of caves inside Mt. Everest like in the movie "The Hills Have Eyes". I was used as a sex slave along with other male nationals from other countries. Evidently they want their off springs to learn multiple languages. I tried to yell for help when I was pulled inside of a small hole from my feet but the turtles and kangaroos were making too much noise. I wanted to stay longer but the yeti hotties preferred the Aussies to Americans. Damn. I can't wait to go again next year. I'll work on my Australian accent.

    • Irina

sorry, I eat the last kilo... it was the best chocolate!!

      April 10

  • Scott H.

Great times on the mountain! The Yeti told some great stories about scaring the French climbers last week!

I gave this trip 5 stars even though I got lost coming down Everest. I hiked west along the Nepal-Tibet border and by sunset reached Mt Cho Oyu, where I bivied. At the first daylight, I tied together some vagrant kangaroos by their tails to rapel down the Cho Oyu summit block -- quite an adventure! On the plus side, I could bag two 8Km-ers and eat frozen chocolate bars that I found in the pouches of the kangaroos :)

Topping out Everest was a 'real high' (har har) .... still waiting for the lottery and chocolate money ( may I assume the check is in the mail?) .....

    2 · April 6

  • Fred

Did anyone happen to see a misplaced lottery ticket? I can't seem to find mine. Hope the turtle didn't eat it.

Out of this world would be one way to describe it.

    3 · April 6

Finally got home and while unpacking my backpack found a damn sherpa stowaway! Now he's running around my house opening up all the windows and yelling something in a language I don't understand.

    4 · April 2

    • AgapeSoul S.

Did you happen to bring back a unicorn too?

      1 · April 2

    • Joe

Those aren't real. But I think this sherpa is really a leprechaun.

      1 · April 2

the people who RSVP'd "NOT GOING" on this hike are really missing out!!! (why would you RSVP NOT GOING to this anyhow???)

    3 · April 1

Sondra, I missed the memo on "Sex with Sherpas"?!

      3 · April 2

Good thing it wasn't with the Unicorn.

      2 · April 2

Does anybody have any beta on the latest trail conditions? Would microspikes be needed or has all the snow melted? Should I bring my life jacket or are there bouldering pads below the crux in case somebody falls? I think I saw some in one of the photos (unless these were actual people lying down, a bit hard to tell from the cell phone pics, but then, why should anybody lie down in sub-freezing temperatures?). Also, I was wondering if there are any bear lockers at the base camp, I was hoping to leave my turtle there while I am hiking. Any information is appreciated!

John common ! It doesn't call milking !!!

      1 · April 2

    • Jay

Yeah, have to agree with Irina: Gern ain't all that smart but he looked like he knew what he was doing with that 'Yak' ...quite disturbing. Smh.

      1 · April 2

  • Joe

    How do we get back?

    1 · April 2

    • Jay

@Joe - YOU brought that nonalcoholic stuff thinking you were getting a great deal, remember... I'm done too - have they fixed that darn transporter yet? Never excite a Yak in a transporter...not only will it short it out but the smell lasts like skunk :(

When we took off from Fred's house dragging him out of bed, it was kinda raining.. Then it strt snowing... Gush what was a flight! My broomstick was covered with ice when we got to the trailhead! Thanks John for a hot chocolate and turtle soup! It was delicious!!! Awesome hike by the way, I remember SOME part of it! It's a good sign..

    April 2

    • Jay

Wow! Irina, you really flew there by broomstick...? With Fred in tow? Lol. That broom must have felt like frozen dental floss! What a way to wake up in the morning.

I've heard on great authority that William Shatner will make an appearance. Personally, I was hoping for George Takei and Nichelle Nichols: George is a hoot and Nichelle is hot! Both would make very multicultural additions to this intergalactic event :-)

Fred, I have this image in my head- Irina is going to wake you with her broomstick.

    3 · March 31

      Let's bet on it!!

      1 · March 31

      2 · March 31

  • Irina

Who is planning to use a broomstick for tonight?

    March 31

  • Eric B

I think the faux Star Trek characters on the MASH hike burned out all the dilithium crystals in my ship, is it too late to get in on a carpool for this hike? I'd offer limitless chocolate from my ship's replicator, but unfortunately it's coming our tasting like formaldehyde at the moment.

New Edward Snowden revelations claim that this event is allegedly a 4/1 gaff! Preposterous! I say hunt the whistleblower down and throw the Patriot Act at him! Everything shared here is true and accurate to the spirit of the Constitution - no turtles or kangaroos were waterboarded or denied habeas corpus...well, except GERN. But that's different, perhaps.

    2 · March 29

You had me at "get paid to eat chocolate ;), but SOME of us have to work!

    2 · March 29

    • Jay

Oy vey! You mean to say you have rugrats all day? Hmm. Are rugrats on the list of scifi creatures to bring with or make soup out of? Might be tasty but turtle soup and Yak burgers sound better. I'm gettin' itchy just thinking about them.

      March 29

    • Sandy

Knock yourself out! Save some chocolate for me!
