Skippers and Event Organizers Meeting

  • Apr 25, 2014 · 7:30 PM
  • Waldo's House (Alec's House)

G'day Skippers and potential organizers,

On Friday, March 14, we had a Skippers meeting so Michael Colin could explain the stunningly fabulous 'Skippers' pdf he designed which enables an Event Organizer to:

1) Create, post, and edit upcoming events

2) Handle RSVPs and churn

3) Handle payments

You can view/download this pdf at

http://www.meetup.com/sb-sailing-meetup/files/.

Whether you're at a basic computer level or technologically savvy, this pdf is easy to read and utilize. Happily enough, you will also find the waiver on the same page.

While the last meeting was primarily for Skippers, this meeting, which will be held on Friday April 25th is for both Skippers and all the members who have expressed an interest in helping out behind the scenes.

This meeting/class will also start with the pdf so you can learn to set up events, and also help skippers set up or edit events they want to hold.

Assisting the Skippers like this is designed to take some organizing and paperwork - (RSVPS, payments, cancellations) out of their hands so they can concentrate on their expertise- providing sails that are enjoyable, wonderful and safe.

Organizing an event like the Evening Socializers at Brophy Brothers or elsewhere has always been another very enjoyable aspect of our group and that can use some event organizing help as well.

Consider what qualities you have and are willing to share, to add to our sails and gatherings.

Everything is in beginning stages, so your creative energy and enthusiasm would be much appreciated and put to good use.

To keep the numbers manageable this meeting is for you if you want to organize events, or contribute time and energy to the meetup's smooth functioning.

The meeting will be at Generous Alec and Beautiful Amber's Home in Carp at 7.30pm on Friday 25th April.

Hi. I am interested in helping. I will need the address, please. Also, why did it take me to a payment pages? Is there a cost to helping out?

That would be great! No, I will see if I can fix that pay link. We will know the address for sure closer to the date and make sure everyone has it.
