Gyms in the area?

Hi all,

I'm new to the area and I'm looking for a gym to haunt. However, in my research the one and only gym that I seem to be able to uncover is planet granite. I've gone to check it out, and while it's definitely not shabby by any stretch of the imagination, I wanted to consider all of my options before committing to a membership. Also, the price of their membership seems a bit steep to me...or is it just the norm for this area? My gym in San Diego was like $30/month and the one in Riverside was like $25/month.

Can anyone offer any reviews/insights/advice on gyms...?

Thanks...!

I keep hearing that there is a climbing gym that is opening/has opened somewhere around downtown San Jose. Can anyone confirm this?
