My creepy oval shaped mirror I bought for $5. It was covered in webs, dust and rust spots! Made from some kind of metal frame - maybe tin - the glass is pefrect though and the gold coloured edge has a leaf pattern along the top, bottom and side edges.
Lots! I will post all my links in the discussion forum but location as soon as I have time to sort them out. Hoping to find some hidden gems around Brisbane from other Scavengers posting their favorite treasure spots too.
All of the above! I like thrift store shopping and visiting retro style second hand stores. Live on the Northside, but willing to travel far and wide for a look-see at different locations. If you live near a cluster of thrift stores or second-hand stores or near fleamarkets, please consider hosting a meetup from your home or a coffee shop to meetup and bargain hunt as a team.
Northside. Will travel up to 30 minutes away by car or an hour or so by public transport. It's all for a good cause. Besides, public transport restricts the amount of 'treasure' I can haul back home so it is my preferred method for scavenging!
Almost everything I buy is second hand and reusable. I love shopping at thrift stores and manage to visit them often. I find uses for all the crazy things I buy...eventually. This leads to me hoarding usable stuff such as material, boxes, beads etc.
Will be a rewarding experience for all!
