Happy Tuesday Folks,
At our last Sci-Fi Writers meeting, in the womb-like coziness afforded by the Blackeyed Pea, someone with a mouth full of cornbread suggested we have a weekly writing prompt to nudge stalled writers or load up the prolific. I do imagine that someone holding a spoon of beans seconded the suggestion and here we are.
Seeing as this is the first prompt, I'd like to take suggestions as to what we'd like this to turn into. It could be turned into a kind of contest (bragging rights being the prize), it could be a chance to review and reciprocate feedback on the forum, or it can just be a prompt sent out into the ether. Any thoughts? While you're thinking, here is something else to think about.
Sci-Fi Writing Prompt #1
There has been much concern about the mysterious disappearance of bees over the last year. Google it for yourself. What would happen if the bee population became endangered or even extinct? Looking for fantastical fiction, not an answer here.
< 1000 words
This is a prompt for a 1000 words or less, so don't be daunted! If all else fails, go to Write or Die
and spill out what ever is buzzing in your head.
