Perhaps a prompt once a week is a bit too much? I'm going to temper the onslaught of inspiration to every other week. In case you missed it, last week's prompt is below.

Happy Tuesday, Wordsmiths!
~ Small prize at the next meetup to the first person who isn't *Russ to post a story in the files this week.~
Tuesday Writing Prompt #7: World Without Us:
From the book (pg 5):
"Instead, picture a world from which we all suddenly vanished. Tomorrow.
Unlikely perhaps, but for the sake of argument, not impossible. Say a Homo sapiens-specific virus--natual or diabolically nano-engineered-- picks us off but leaves everything else intact. Or some misanthropic evil wizard somehow targets that unique 3.9 percent of DNA that makes us human beings and not chimpanzees, or prefects a way to sterilize our sperm. Or say that Jesus - more on Him later - or space aliens rapture us away, either to our heavenly glory or to a zoo somewhere across the galaxy."
For this week's prompt- write a story about a scenario above or create your own population vanishing act.
Just a reminder of what we're doing here:
1. Write a story based on the prompt
2. If you want, password protect the story using your word editor software (ie MS Word)
3. Upload it to the sci-fi group's files page
4. Email me the password
5. All who participated will get emailed the passwords on MONDAY night.
6. Review and feedback begins
7. Another prompt on Tuesday
Make 2009 the year that you did.
*Sorry, Russ. Your prize is that you're prolific with out prodding. :)
