Who: Dr. Miguel Yacaman, Chair of the Physics and Astronomy Department and Professor of Physics at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Yacaman's research on nanoparticles, semiconductors, metals and special materials has led to several breakthroughs in nanotechnology. He will discuss some future problems that will be solved by nanotechnology and provide insight into potential applications of these "tiny machines".
Where: TBD, probably near I-10; please suggest a location! (e-mail [address removed])
How much: Free! We are currently soliciting donations ($5 suggested donation) to serve food; wine, beer and/or coffee is on you!
