Announcing a new Meetup for The San Antonio Science Caf?!

What: Tiny Machines - Nanotechnology Today and Tomorrow

When: Thursday, March 26,[masked]:30 PM

Meetup Description:
This Science Cafe discussion will address Nanotechnology and Its Applications in Medicine and Technology. What are these "tiny machines" called nanoparticles, and what impact will they have on humanity and our economy?

Who: Dr. Miguel Yacaman, Chair of the Physics and Astronomy Department and Professor of Physics at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Yacaman's research on nanoparticles, semiconductors, metals and special materials has led to several breakthroughs in nanotechnology. He will discuss some future problems that will be solved by nanotechnology and provide insight into potential applications of these "tiny machines".

How much: Free! We are currently soliciting donations ($5 suggested donation) to serve food; wine, beer and/or coffee is on you!
