November Lates

What's happening at November Lates?

Start the festive season early at this month's Lates: Celebrate all the cracking things about the yuletide period, a whole month before you eat your first sprout! This November, join us for an alternative to the usual seasonal shindigs and be a kid at Christmas again with the help of some big toys and even bigger festivities. Join in one of our giant party games, create a racy robotic gift and discover what toys were filling the Victorians’ stockings. If that’s not enough, all your usual favourites from Punk Science to a very merry silent disco will be there to start the party period with a science-inspired big bang.

What is Lates?

Science Museum Lates is the exciting adults only event, held once a month, that invites you to experience the Science Museum after hours. So if you want an entertaining free night out, Lates is the place to be.

Lates provides the opportunity to explore the museum’s most popular exhibitions away from children. The museum is packed with over 50 interactive exhibits for you to get your hands on and each Lates has a varied programme of entertainment.

Luckily I went with Edith and Christophe but we couldn't find the other members. We did wait a bit by the cafe but there were so many people, it was hard to know who was from the meetup group, especially since we didn't know what time the others were coming. We couldn't even find Peer, everyone looked alike!
But the 3 of us had a great time, we particularly enjoyed the silent disco, it would have been nicer with a bigger group. Maybe next time...
As Rachael said it would be better if someone arranged for a meeting point with a sign. I'm volunteering to do it next time I go.

I didn't find the group. As it says on the home page, this isn't really a meet up but another way of advertising the Science Museum lates. That's a pity because it's a great thing to do with new friends. it would be good if someone took responsibility fro having a sign/mobile number and making sure people can link up.

    Thanks Peer.

I'll have something to eat and drink at the Revolution cafe from 6.45pm.
Then I'll say hi to you at 7.30pm and start the tour of the museum with whoever wants to join me.

    See you all on Wednesday.

Hey Flo - I'll be at the corner between the box office and the cafe on the ground floor at 7.30pm. I can't stay with the group - I have work to do! - but I'll certainly meet and chat, and see what everyone would like to do :-)

    Hi Peer,
The program is now available from the Science Museum website.
It will be my first meetup with the group and I'd like to know if we will have a meeting point? I have read comments from the last event and one said there were so many people he couldn't find you.
