There's lots happening on the second Science Museum Lates evening, in association with Asahi Beer, after its successful introduction in September 2008 and we'd love for you to come along with your friends.

This month's event has a distinctly Japanese theme as we celebrate the launch of Japan Car: Designs for the Crowded Globe. We've got Japanese pop DJs, kendo demonstrations, Dance Dance Revolution booths, science talks, 2 for 1 entry to the Japan Car exhibition (your ticket includes a free sample of Asahi) and a host of other Japanese activities, as well as shameless playtime in our famous interactive gallery Launchpad (everyone's highlight of the last Lates).

Entry to the museum is free, we're open from 6.45pm until 10pm and the nearest tube station is South Kensington (District, Circle and Piccadilly lines).

Help banish the credit crunch blues and winter weather misery: visit Science Museum Lates!

It was bigger and better than the first one in September.

I had a really good evening; the time just flew by. Peer - I'm the one who introduced myself to you about 5 minutes after the doors opened and grabbed a couple of free tickets for the Japan Car exhibition. Looking forward to the next Lates.

Well is was not a proper meetup, just go to the Museum and join the large queue. Why don't he just advertise in the newspaper?

When I arrived about 15 minutes after the doors opened, people were queing around the block to get in. I would estinate there were 2000+ people in the museum, which gave it a very nice buzz. Of course, there was no chance at all to meet with Peer or other members of this meetup (though I'm not sure that matters).
