Welcome To ADKO! The Adirondack Outpost was founded with the sole purpose of drawing attention to charities that benefit children. We are a local group of dedicated Star Wars fans with a passion for bringing Star Wars alive in the eyes of children. Our intent is to attend parades and various charity events which benefit organizations and causes such as The Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Salvation Army, and Children's cancer research.
We have grown with a wonderful list of friends and friendly individuals, consisting of R2-D2 Builders, prop builders, outgoing organizers and volunteers. Our participation at an event is a truly remarkable experience in the eyes of all who attend.
The ADKO doesn't require its volunteers to be in costume at events, but we encourage it. There are so many characters in the Star Wars universe that the possibilities are endless. And our experienced members are always more than willing to help! Our meet-ups are a great place to start.
