Ended up exhausted from a 8 hour D&D session so I won't be able to make it this time :(

Sorry, looks like a bad day. Maybe Hector will still go...don't know. :-(
Made some more kid-friendly plans. Maybe next time.

at 7 I'll be a the Roosevelt Ale house for a little pre-sci-fi libation. 8824 Roosevelt Way. I am well, the guy in the pic.
Power outage has changed my plans.
ok if don't have a ticket yet?
I'm sorry, this will be my first meetup. Do we need to buy tickets? If so, can we pay at the door?
Just show up and pay there, there's no way to preorder.
It's more like a donation thing.
No payment needed, it's FREE. Of course you can donate to help out David with the cost of the meetup.com fee and putting all this together for us!
It's totally free. Just show up and hang out.
Pft .. Not TOTALLY free ... you have to endure terrible movies with my stupid jokes in the background ... I DO take donations though ...
Parking tips, anyone?
I see the Roosevelt Square next door with parking on the roof it looks like and some parking street level along the back side. All within a block or so from the Coffeehouse. Good place to park? Do you have to pay?
Just to be sure; the Coffeehouse is where in that building across from the Square? Is it under the Royal Palm restaurant?
Yes Wayward Coffeehouse, appears to be located under the Royal Palm Restaurant. I see you have a picture of the Coffeehouse in your 'photo' section
Sean - Yes, the coffeehouse is in the same building as the Royal Palm. Door faces 65th st. side of the building and is tucked in the corner on the ground floor between the Ten Thousand Villages store and the Indian restaurant.
Parking - there are a lot of streets in the 2-block radius that have options - most of the parking in the area is free after 8pm.
I usually park a little north up on 65th.
I've never had issues with street parking around there ... I think you'll be OK ... :)
This movie looks like one that will have "space air" flooding in that will require everyone to put on their goggles.
Sat before the show, at 7pm, I'll be up the road at Roosevelt Ale house, if anyone wants to join me...

Maybe. I may spend that weekend in drinker debauchery since my birthday is the following week. *Nods*. Debauchery sounds fun.
1 · December 10, 2013
We should all go for a birthday drink for you afterwards? Safe levels of debauchery of course.
1 · December 17, 2013
Possibly. I'm sort of feeling old. Lol.
0 · January 6, 2014
Age is a number, old is an attitude.
3 · January 6, 2014
My birthday was *last* week so I was going to join in a little overdue debauch of my own... except it looks like I can't make it to this movie after all. Grumble!

Newly joined. I'll be there on the 11th! Beer anyone?
Is the movie suitable for a well-behaved 6-year-old?
0 · January 5, 2014
This movie isn't suitable for adults! Just kidding. Yeah, it's just fine. We'd love to have you bring your kid, but be aware movies like this get a little boring for young kids and the group's comments about the film can get a little "adult" sometimes depending on the situation.

Atmospherically caused miniaturization? Makes sense to me!

That's why they call it SCIENCE fiction... because it's scientifically plausible.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
