The formula seems to be working. While I'm fine with splitting, I believe that perhaps splitting into smaller group on-site (I dunno if that is possible) may be a better choice. So that we may not all be in one large room.

Subject: [scifiwriting-1] Member Limits at Quills. Suggestions.
Date: Sat, 14 Sep[masked]:49:08 -0400
As you might know, the fire marshal has informed us that we can only have 14 people in the meeting room at a time. Since we have been running well over 14 for the last few months, this causes a problem.
#1 - Our group is getting BIG. Yeah!
#2 - Not everyone that wants to read is getting the opportunity. Not yeah!
#3 We all want to participate. Yeah!
So here is an idea I wanted to bounce off you all. What would you say to there being 2 meetings a month? One on the first Wednesday as we have now and the second on say the 3rd Wednesday of the month. You could go to either or both, but only the first 14 people to sign up with an RSVP could attend. We would need to check with Quills to see if we could have that date, it would need to be paid for as usual, and we would need someone to run the meeting each month on the second session. Lizard runs the first meeting of the month.
We could also look into yet another place where we could all fit, but it would not solve the problem of everyone having time to read.
Suggestions??? Thoughts??? Protest posters?
